The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to set recipes and quality standards. This role ensures food is prepared safely, hygienically, and on time while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and supporting smooth daily kitchen operations.
Prepare and cook food items according to standard recipes and quality guidelines
Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area at all times
Handle food ingredients safely and store them properly
Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation before serving
Assist in menu preparation and daily kitchen planning
Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Manage kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs
Minimize food waste and control portion sizes
Proven experience as a Cook or similar role
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Physical stamina to stand for long hours
Good time management and multitasking skills
Teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible shifts (including weekends/holidays)
Culinary training or certification is an added advantage

1–2 years of experience as a Cook preferred
Basic knowledge of cooking and food hygiene
Training or culinary course is an added advantage
